Nikos Polyzos is an architect and furniture designer who is based in Patras, Greece. In 2014 he began to be systematically engaged in furniture design with solid wood.
His studies in architecture have played a catalytic role in the way he designs and makes his art furniture. Fascinated by the materiality of wood, he works mainly on oak, a natural ingredient ready to be transformed. He works with the material himself thus constantly exploring the creative limits of this.
Harmony, beauty and function, principles based in the ancient Greek aesthetic, are the key elements in his work. His design forms move on basic axes and the structural perfection is here to be felt.
